Selected BRONX COLORS products are vegan. Look for the vegan icon on the product page to identify our vegan products.

How long do BRONX COLORS products last once opened?

The shelf life after opening varies depending on the product. Look for the Period After Opening (PAO) symbol on the packaging — this is the small open-jar symbol showing a number followed by M, such as 12M. This indicates how many months the product can typically be used safely after opening.

For the best experience, always follow the recommended PAO period and discontinue use if the product changes in smell, colour, texture or performance.

How should I store my makeup?

Keep your BRONX COLORS makeup in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and excessive heat or humidity. Always make sure products are properly closed after use to help maintain their quality.

How do I find my BRONX COLORS foundation shade?

Identify Your Undertone

Your undertone is the subtle colour beneath your skin's surface. Unlike your skin tone, which can change with sun exposure, your undertone generally stays the same. There are three main undertone groups:

  • Cool: Pink, red, rosy or bluish hues
  • Warm: Yellow, golden, peach, honey or warm olive hues
  • Neutral: A balanced mix of cool and warm tones

Find Your Undertone

1. The Vein Test — Look at the veins on the inside of your wrist in natural light:

  • Blue or purple → cool undertone
  • Green or olive → warm undertone
  • A mix of both → neutral undertone

2. The Jewellery Test — Think about which jewellery makes your skin look brighter:

  • Gold looks best → warm undertone
  • Silver looks best → cool undertone
  • Both look great → neutral undertone

3. The White T-Shirt Test — Hold a bright white top next to your face in natural daylight:

  • Skin looks more pink or rosy → cool undertone
  • Skin looks more yellow or peachy → warm undertone
  • Both seem to work → neutral undertone
Should my concealer be lighter than my foundation?

Not always — it depends on what you're using it for:

  • To conceal blemishes: Choose a shade that closely matches your foundation and skin tone.
  • To brighten under-eyes: Choose a shade around 1–2 shades lighter than your foundation.
  • To highlight: Go slightly lighter to bring attention to areas such as the centre of the face.
💡 Going too light under the eyes can make dark circles look grey or ashy, so choose your shade carefully.
What is colour correcting?

Colour correcting is a makeup technique that uses specific colours to neutralise unwanted tones in the skin before applying concealer or foundation. Opposite colours on the colour wheel help cancel each other out:

  • Green helps neutralise redness.
  • Lavender/Purple can help brighten yellow or dull-looking areas.
  • Peach/Orange helps neutralise blue or purple tones, such as dark circles.

Once the unwanted colour has been neutralised, apply your concealer or foundation over it for a more even finish.

What is the difference between contour and bronzer?

Contour is used to create the appearance of shadow and definition, helping to sculpt areas such as the cheekbones, jawline and nose.

Bronzer is used to add warmth and a sun-kissed glow to the complexion, making the skin look naturally warmed up.

Think of it as: contour = definition, bronzer = warmth.
Where should I apply contour?

Apply contour where you naturally want to create shadow and definition:

  • Under the cheekbones
  • Along the jawline
  • Around the hairline
  • Down the sides of the nose
Where should I apply bronzer?

Apply bronzer to the areas where the sun would naturally hit your face:

  • Across the tops of the cheeks
  • Along the forehead/hairline
  • Across the bridge of the nose
  • Lightly along the jawline

Use a fluffy brush and blend well for a natural, sun-kissed finish.

Where should I apply highlighter?

Apply highlighter to the high points of your face where light naturally catches:

  • Tops of the cheekbones
  • Bridge or tip of the nose
  • Cupid's bow
  • Inner corners of the eyes
  • Brow bone
Start with a small amount and build the intensity for a more natural glow.
How do I choose the right blush shade for my skin tone?
  • Fair: Soft pinks, baby pinks, peaches and light corals
  • Medium: Rosy pinks, peach, coral and warm mauves
  • Deep: Berry, plum, terracotta, rich coral and vibrant pinks

Don't be afraid to experiment — blush is one of the easiest ways to have fun with colour!

Where should I apply blush?

For a fresh, lifted look, apply blush to the apples of your cheeks and blend upwards towards your cheekbones. Applying blush slightly higher on the cheekbones gives a more lifted appearance, while applying it closer to the apples creates a youthful, flushed look.

How do I choose my brow shade?

Choose a brow shade that complements your natural brow hair and hair colour. For a softer, more natural result, choose a shade slightly lighter than your brow hair. For a more defined look, go slightly deeper. When in doubt, a neutral-toned brow shade is often the most versatile.

How do I choose the right lipstick shade for my skin tone?

There are no strict rules — wear whatever makes you feel good! As a starting point:

  • Fair: Pink, peach, rose, soft red and berry
  • Medium: Rose, coral, mauve, red and warm nude
  • Tan: Terracotta, caramel, warm red, berry and brown
  • Deep: Plum, berry, burgundy, deep red, brown and vibrant pink

Your undertone can also help guide you. Cool undertones often suit blue-based pinks and reds, while warm undertones can complement peach, coral and orange-based shades.

Which nude lipstick should I choose for my skin tone?
  • Fair: Pinky nude, peach nude or soft beige
  • Light–Medium: Rose nude, caramel nude or peachy beige
  • Medium–Tan: Warm caramel, terracotta or brown nude
  • Deep: Chocolate, mocha, berry-brown or rich caramel nude
If your nude lipstick makes your lips disappear completely, try a shade slightly deeper or rosier.
